Macmillan GP Facilitator

CRGPA has a vacancy for a Macmillan GP Facilitator working across the North of Warwickshire, funded for two sessions a week by Macmillan Cancer Support for a period of 18 months. The salary for this role will be paid at £200 per session.  This is an exciting opportunity for a GP with a specialist or potential interest in cancer to help improve the lives of cancer patients in Warwickshire. The role of the GP Facilitator is to develop the continuity and quality of cancer care. The role provides protected time for an experienced GP to work with Primary Care services and others involved in cancer care in an educational capacity and as an agent of change by mobilising, enhancing and extending existing professional skills.  The local Macmillan Partnership Manager and Partnership Quality Lead will be available for support, as will the team from the GP Alliance and CRCCG.  You can find out more about the roles from the following link (click on ‘Macmillan GPs’)  http://www.macmillan.org.uk/about-us/health-professionals/health-care-roles/primary-care-community.html   To arrange an informal discussion, please contact: Fiona Taylor, Macmillan Partnership Manager or email on ftaylor@macmillan.org.uk
