Macmillan GP Facilitator

Would you like to have an impact on cancer care in North Warwickshire?  There is a funded role for a GP to work with a team across Coventry and Warwickshire, which includes  the Macmillan Partnership Manager and Partnership Quality Lead, CRUK Facilitators and CRUK Facilitator Manager, other GPs, commissioners, The GP Alliance, public health, to improve continuity and quality of cancer care for their patients in the region.  This is a really supportive team who would be able to support somebody new to clinical leadership/facilitation/management.  Furthermore, the GP would have a close relationship with Dr Imogen Staveley who is the Cancer Clinical Lead for Warwickshire North CCG.  The role provides protected time for a GP to work with Primary Care services and others involved in cancer care in an educational capacity and also to support and enable change.  This is a really exciting opportunity for a GP looking to diversify their portfolio of roles and to alter their work life balance and to develop new skills in education and clinical leadership.  It would be beneficial to have a prior interest in cancer but by no means essential as Macmillan and the Coventry and Warwickshire Primary Care Cancer Team will support you in your development in this area.

You can find out more about the roles from the following link (click on ‘Macmillan GPs’)   The salary for this role will be paid at £200 per session.

To arrange an informal discussion, please contact: Fiona Taylor, Macmillan Partnership Manager or email on  or Michelle Horn on  They can also put you in touch with one of the local GPs if that is helpful.‚Äč  Application via nhs jobs at  under Job Reference J180-A-17-173662
