About our clinical / senior pharmacist role
Clinical pharmacists are experts in medicines and can support you with your medicines journey. Their role is to listen to you, to evaluate how the medicine is working for you and to suggest ways to improve the management of your condition to help you stay as well as possible. They’ll be able to support you with long term conditions such as asthma and high blood pressure and help you to understand your medicines. They may agree changes with you around your medicine and will give advice about the best time to take them and managing any side effects. The clinical pharmacist works with your GP and other pharmacists to make sure that your medicines service is joined up. Appointments can be made by face to face, video or by phone.
