Formed in 2014 and owned by our member practices, CRGPA has grown into a leading primary care organisation serving Coventry, Rugby and the wider system. Today, we work alongside 90%+ of practices across our geography, supporting a population of over 450,000 people.
Over the past decade, we have evolved from a federation delivering shared services into a strategic partner for transformation across primary care. We now provide a broad portfolio of clinical, operational and workforce services designed to help practices, PCNs and system partners deliver high quality, sustainable care.
Our mission remains clear: to strengthen primary care for a stronger NHS. But the way we deliver it has expanded. We now focus on:
- Supporting practices with resilient, scalable services that reduce pressure and improve patient access
- Innovating through digital solutions, new care models and collaborative programmes
- Delivering high‑quality clinical services that are responsive to local need
- Educating and developing the workforce through training, leadership development and career pathways
- Partnering across the ICS to shape strategy, improve population health and reduce inequalities
In 2026, CRGPA is a mature, forward looking organisation rooted in general practice, driven by collaboration, and committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our communities.
